Beet Films builds and runs video departments for companies producing in many places at once.
What we do
We take a company's video from start to finish — planning the shoot, putting together the crew and the permits wherever it's happening, directing on set, editing, subtitling, and delivering the finished files. For clients producing every month, we run it as a standing department rather than project by project.
We work with a network of crews, editors and fixers we've built up over years, so a shoot in Rio is staffed the same way as one in Prague.
Founder
Beet Films was founded by Dan Balilty. For 25 years he worked as a photojournalist, mostly for The New York Times and the Associated Press, and for a period on the Netflix series Immigration Nation. That's where the way we work comes from: arrive somewhere you don't know, find the people who can help, and deliver on the day it's due.
He still directs and shoots most of the work himself, and stays the point of contact on every project.
